Simply reading about the lives of authors from days past can
cnhance and sometimes inspire a writer to the realization of discovering these famous
writers. This can also show that authors also went through life's happenings and trials.
Without the great classical writers and authors such as we had-
we would not have the writing we have today.
(Take that as you may)

"The ancient commission of the writer has not changed. He is charged with exposing our many grievous faults
and failures, with dredging up to the light our dark and dangerous dreams for the purpose of improvement."

John Steinbeck's Nobel Prize Acceptance Speech 1962
